O'Reilly Links Mass Murder to Athiesm

The thing I do admire about O'Reilly is that he can make connections to anything.

Whether or not they make any sense whatsoever, that is apparently up to God.

  1. The title is "Bill gets (o)wned by Dawkins". Probably O'Reilly doesn't realize it. O'Reilly speaks of what is "true for him" (and ironically has probably railed against "relativism") and as such from his irrational viewpoint was not owned. When he dies, he will no longer exists and so will probably never realize that he was wrong.

It is a double edged sword that the irrational tend not to understand that they have lost a debate. For one thing, it keeps them in the game showing their flaws--but only to those sufficiently irrational and/or impartial enough to follow the debate without prejudice for the irrational.

  2. Wow.

I think that those who stick to their guns of "true for me" have made themselves unable to even see any ideas that are not their own. Then, their selective thinking leads to their selective hearing, letting all things that aren't true for them pass on by. In O'Reilly's case, it's not so much a 'passing on by' as it is a 'blow it to smithereens with the strength and power of my over-bearing sense of self-worth.'

Unless new ideas are heard and questioned before being accepted or rejected, what's 'true for you' may ultimately become a 'lie for everyone else'.
