As mentioned in the post, Hip Hope, I don't like pop music all too much. It is the feces of a dying monster.
However, there are always exceptions to what is thought to be absolute, and the Pop world is no different. Take for example these musicians I have recently taken a liking to, despite my otherwise unquestionably good judgement. Let me be clear, though, I don't like most of these guys' songs. The ones I do, however, make my morning commutes just a little more happier.

These guys have made quite a transformation over the years. From Japan's 60's Trippy-Groovy-stylings-done-electronic Shibuyakei to vomitous speed pop with the eardrum descimating high-pitchedness of cute-pop vocals to actual dance-to-able dance tracks that keep your head from splitting, their selections are wide and varied to choose from. The only album of theirs so far that I've gotten attached to is Sugarless Girl. Full of great beats, instrumentals and a general want to rock your ass apart, Capsule have wormed their way into my concrete heart. Their most recent album is More More More.

Clazziquai
I've heard plenty of love-love dance music come out of Korea. From the little bit of culture I've delved into with Korean entertainment, an immense amount of over-dramatized romantic feelings hose us down as much as the Japanese love to say "kawaii" and I use Italics. However, that doesn't stop me from hating everything they do. With a mix of Korean and half-edited English lyrics, their blend of various dance music-types has me dreaming of impossible things whilst being dreary on my beloved Hankyu-Kobe Line. The remixes, I find, though are the most enjoyable out of the selection I've heard so far.

Mirror's Edge Soundtrack
On the more remix-heavy, game soundtrack end of the spectrum, I find myself listening the many of the tracks from this CD quite often. It comes from, obviously, Mirror's Edge (review), a game I really want to hate to hate. The track, Still Alive by Lisa Miskovsky is remixed by some I know (Paul Van Dyk) and some I don't. A few of these come very close to inspiring me enough to do the parkour that I want to do. I still don't though. It is not, however, nearly as mechanically-adorable as Portal's song Still Alive.
